- Both the #60 and #93 Acura ARX-06 machines will return to the GTP class in 2026
- The Acura MSR team has scored two victories in 2025 with two races remaining
- Acura currently sits second in the manufacturers’ standings
Acura will remain in IMSA competition in 2026, once again partnering with Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian to field two Acura ARX-06 machines for the second-consecutive year.
Both the #60 and the #93 cars will return to the GTP class, the top-level class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, to fight for the title as well as overall wins in the premier American Endurance Racing classics such as the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Acura and Meyer Shank Racing have combined to score five wins in the GTP ranks, including two this year at the Detroit Grand Prix for the #93 and the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen for the #60.
This is the most recent step in a long history of collaboration between MSR and Acura, with the two entities having won two championships together in the GTD class with the Acura NSX (2019, 2020), and third title in the then-top-level DPi category in 2022 with the Acura ARX-05.

2025 marked a new endeavor for Honda Racing Corporation USA alongside Acura Meyer Shank Racing, as the HRC US engineers took over race engineering and strategy for the #93 team for the very first time. That expanded role for HRC US will continue in 2026.
Acura currently sits second in the manufacturers’ title chase with two races still to run in the 2025 season.
Further announcements regarding driver lineups and team partners will be made at a later date.
Quotes
David Salters (President, Honda Racing Corporation USA): “It’s been an amazing season reuniting with the Meyer Shank Racing team under the Acura Meyer Shank Racing banner. We’ve had two wins so far, we’re fighting for the manufacturers’ championship, and there’s two races still to run. I’m so proud of everything this group of men and women at Acura MSR and HRC US have accomplished this year and I’m looking forward to building on that momentum for next season. We have had delight and despair running Car #93 so far (watch our docuseries!), this was a new challenge we set ourselves to grow at HRC and we love it! We love racing for Acura, we love MSR, we love IMSA and we love our fans! Heady times for sportscar racing, to be in the middle of this era and entertain the fans with these super cool GTP prototypes makes us very proud to represent HRC.”

The merger of the MSR crew and HRC engineering staff has been fun to watch and be a part of. We’ve all learned a lot this year and saw some great success on track. The Acura and HRC support and partnership is incredible, and we’re ready to chase a Championship next year.”
