About AutoMart Canada
AutoMart Canada covers the automotive industry for Canadian readers. We report on new vehicle launches, pricing and availability, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, recalls and the manufacturer announcements that affect what Canadians can actually buy.
What we cover
Our focus is the Canadian market specifically. That means prices in Canadian dollars, range and efficiency figures as certified for this country, and a clear distinction between what a manufacturer has confirmed for Canada and what has only been announced elsewhere. A vehicle launched in another market is not the same news as a vehicle you can order here, and we try never to blur the two.
Alongside launch and pricing coverage, we write about the practical side of ownership: charging networks and adapter compatibility, running costs, safety equipment and the details buyers ask about at the dealership.
How we work
Much of the raw information in automotive journalism originates with manufacturers, who publish technical detail, pricing and imagery through their press offices. We use those materials as a starting point, verify the details that matter, and write our own reporting from them. Where a manufacturer’s claim is the source of a fact, we say so, and where we quote someone directly we attribute the quote.
When an article draws on a manufacturer announcement, we link to the original so readers can check it. If a specification, price or on-sale date has not been confirmed for Canada, we say that rather than estimating.
