Munich. With the Neue Klasse, BMW is taking
bidirectional charging to the next level, making Vehicle-to-Home
(V2H), Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) accessible to
all customers. V2G is launching now: The BMW Group and E.ON are
continuing their long-standing strategic partnership and are taking
the next step following the successful announcement of Germany’s first
commercial Vehicle‑to‑Grid offer at IAA Mobility in September 2025. As
of today, private customers can order the complete product package,
consisting of the BMW Wallbox Professional, the V2G electricity tariff
from E.ON (E.ON ÖkoStrom Home & Drive V2G together with the E.ON
V2G Plus feed-in contract), and – if not already installed – an
intelligent metering system (smart meter).
V2G for the Neue Klasse: Plug in and secure a 720 Euro bonus
and charge up to 14,000 kilometres for free* – additional discount
of 700 Euros on the BMW Wallbox Professional** for the first
customers.
This offer enables BMW electric vehicles of the Neue Klasse equipped
with the 6th generation BMW eDrive technology, starting with the new
BMW iX3, to actively interact with the power grid by feeding energy
from the vehicle’s high‑voltage battery back into the grid.

Automatic charging and discharging is managed by a jointly developed
BMW E.ON algorithm. Customers benefit from every hour their vehicle is
plugged in, receiving an annual bonus of up to 720 Euros. This allows
BMW iX3 drivers to cover up to 14,000 kilometers per year at no
charging cost**, while also contributing to the future of sustainable energy.
The My BMW App provides simple and transparent control. Customers
maintain full oversight of current and target charge levels and can
check their real-time bonus status with E.ON directly in the app.
Intelligent protection functions ensure the high-voltage battery
always remains within an optimal operating range.
Promotion: 700 Euro wallbox discount on the first orders**
The first 100 BMW iX3 customers who choose an E.ON V2G electricity
tariff will receive a 700 Euro discount on the BMW Wallbox
Professional.** With 11 kW charging power, it is one of the first
bidirectional wallboxes on the market and offers additional
intelligent charging modes.

V2G at a Glance
Tariff & Compensation model: The E.ON ÖkoStrom Home & Drive
V2G tariff offers full price certainty thanks to a fixed energy price
per kilowatt-hour and a fixed base fee for both household and charging
electricity. Through the V2G feed-in contract, the customer’s bonus
account accumulates up to 720 Euro annually** for every hour the
vehicle is connected to the bidirectional wallbox and V2G is
activated—regardless of whether energy is charged or discharged. Each
kilowatt-hour discharged back to the grid is compensated at 40
Euro-Cent per kWh.

Customer-focused: Drivers maintain full control and can set their
charging targets in the My BMW App to ensure mobility needs are always
met. The bonus account with E.ON is linked to the app and can be
viewed transparently at any time.
Battery protection: Intelligent safeguards ensure the high-voltage
battery always operates within an optimal range.
Contribution to the Energy Future: Vehicle batteries help stabilize
the energy system during periods of surplus electricity or increased
demand. V2G supports the optimal use of renewable energy and reduces
long-term energy-system costs.
Filip Thon, CEO of E.ON Germany: “The first commercial V2G offer in
Germany marks a groundbreaking milestone, linking electromobility with
the energy transition—and enabling private customers for the first
time to tap into the potential of electric vehicles as flexible power
storage for tomorrow’s energy world.”
Marcus Krieg, Head of New Business Models at BMW Group: “With the
Neue Klasse, BMW vehicles become an active part of the energy
ecosystem for the first time. Their technology enables intelligent
storage and return of energy to the grid, reducing customer costs
while strengthening the use of renewable energy.”
New: Alternative entry into energy‑market integration –
cost‑optimized charging for all BMW and MINI electric drivers, incl.
attractive E.ON tariff with charging bonus
The BMW Group now offers a solution for all customers wishing to
charge their fully or partially electric BMW/MINI intelligently while
reducing home‑charging costs.
The vehicle charges automatically at selected locations when
electricity prices are especially low—taking planned departure times
and target charge levels into account. This function is available for
all electrified BMW and MINI models across all drive generations and
can be used with the BMW/MINI Wallbox Plus, the Multifunction Charger
(MFC), and any other AC‑charging device.
Customers only need an electricity tariff that supports BMW’s remote
charging‑control functionality. Many compatible electricity providers
offer this, including E.ON.
In this exclusive partnership offer, BMW and MINI customers in
Germany using the E.ON ÖkoStrom Home & Drive tariff can save up to
240 Euros*** annually and receive an additional 50 Euros*** bonus on
top of the existing new‑customer bonus.
Customer Benefits
• Significant reduction in home charging costs
• Consideration of individual mobility needs
• Protection of vehicle components
• Additional E.ON bonus of 50 Euros on top of the new‑customer bonus

More on V2G and the offer:
Bidirectional and flexible charging are key topics E.ON is showcasing
at E‑World, Europe’s largest energy trade fair, taking place from
February 10–12 in Essen.
* With the E.ON V2G electricity tariff, customers receive a bonus
based purely on the connection time of the BMW iX3 or other
compatible BMW models to the BMW Wallbox Professional, provided that
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) is
activated as an application (regardless of actual
charging/discharging processes).
The bonus amounts to 24 Euro cents per hour, with a maximum of 60
Euros per month/720 Euros per year possible, based on 250 hours of
connection per month. Based on an average working price of 32.97
Euro cents/kWh,
the bonus covers up to 2,184 kWh charged per year. Depending on
the vehicle configuration of the
BMW iX3 50 xDrive, this covers approximately 12,000 km –
approximately 14,000 km of annual mileage (WLTP)
– with driving consumption depending on configuration between 15.1
kWh/100 km – 17.9 kWh/100 km according to WLTP BMW iX3 50 xDrive. In
addition to the bonus, there is a feed-in tariff for every kilowatt
hour fed back
into the grid. The combination of V2G with a photovoltaic system
is currently only supported for full feed-in systems.

The promotion is valid for the BMW Wallbox Professional in
conjunction with the E.ON ÖkoStrom Home & Drive V2G electricity
tariff and the E.ON V2G Plus supplementary contract from our

Deutschland GmbH on behalf of BMW AG. This can only be applied to
the purchase price of the BMW Wallbox Professional in the e-mobilio

bmwgroup.e-mobilio.de
) and is redeemable until December 31, 2026. The promotion is only
valid for private customers. Only valid while stocks last.

registration and night-time charging) and an additional new customer
bonus of 50 Euros, which is exclusively available to BMW customers
and is paid out with the annual statement.
