BMW Group Canada has opened reservations and switched on the vehicle configurator for the all-new iX3, both live on BMW.ca. The announcement was timed to Media Day at the 2026 Canadian International AutoShow, where the electric SUV took over BMW’s display at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The configurator matters more than a reservation page on its own. It is the point where an announced vehicle becomes something a buyer can actually specify, and it usually signals that a launch is close rather than notional.
Neue Klasse arrives in the showroom
The iX3 is built on BMW’s Neue Klasse architecture, the platform underpinning the company’s next generation of electric vehicles. BMW points to efficiency, performance and connectivity as the pillars of the car, alongside its design and interior materials.
To underline the design argument, BMW brought Hussein Al Attar, director of automotive design at BMW Designworks in Los Angeles, to Media Day to talk through the thinking behind Neue Klasse and the iX3 specifically.

“The launch of the iX3 reservation tool and configurator brings us closer to delivering an exceptional electric driving experience tailored for Canadian drivers,” said Andrew Scott, president and CEO of BMW Group Canada.
Pricing followed in May
At the time of the show BMW said Canadian pricing would be announced “soon” and gave no figure. That number has since arrived: the 2027 iX3 50 xDrive starts at $75,900, with NRCan-certified range of up to 698 km and a Canadian market launch set for the fall of 2026.
Anyone who placed a reservation during the show was therefore committing before the price and range were known — worth remembering about reservation programs generally, since they typically secure a place in the queue rather than a price.
What else BMW brought to Toronto
The iX3 shared the stand with the M2 CS and the i4, and BMW offered test drives and brand experiences over the show’s public run from February 13 to 22.
What it means for Canadian buyers
For shoppers who saw the car in Toronto and have been waiting, the useful development is that the unknowns from February are now filled in. The car is priced, the range is certified, and the launch window is the fall of 2026.

For anyone considering a reservation now, the configurator is genuinely useful for understanding how options move the price, but a reservation is not an order. Confirm with a retailer what it secures, whether it is refundable, and where it places you in the delivery queue — none of which BMW addressed in announcing the tool.
