Richmond Hill, ON.  The BMW i4 has once again proven
its excellence in the electric vehicle market by being awarded the
prestigious title of 2025 Canadian Electric Car of the Year by the
Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). This achievement
marks the second time the BMW i4 has received this esteemed accolade,
having previously won the Canadian Car of the Year award in 2023.

The win was announced on February 13 at the Canadian International
AutoShow in Toronto, Canada’s largest automotive event showcasing the
latest innovations and products in the automotive industry. This
recognition underscores BMW’s commitment to innovation, performance,
and sustainability, solidifying its position as a leader in the
electric vehicle segment.

As the top automotive prize in Canada, this recognition highlights
the i4’s impressive range, superior dynamic driving experience and
cutting-edge technology, making it a standout choice for Canadian drivers.

“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the
automobile journalists in Canada for consistently recognizing the
merits of the BMW i4,” said Andrew Scott, President and CEO of BMW
Group Canada. “We would also like to thank our staff, retailer network
and partners for their unwavering commitment in effectively
communicating the exceptional qualities of the BMW i4 to automotive
journalists, our customers and the wider Canadian public alike. Their
efforts have been instrumental in showcasing the i4 as the premier
choice on the electric vehicle market.”

“The BMW i4’s 2025 Canadian Electric Car of the Year win shows that
EVs can be as fun to drive as gas models,” said Evan Williams,
President of AJAC. “AJAC’s expert jury ranked this high-performance EV
the highest for its electric powertrain which delivers both power and
range, its impressive regenerative braking system, and its interior
quality. Congratulations to the BMW i4, a multi-time winner of AJAC’s
top awards.”

The BMW i4, newly revised for the 2025 model-year, offers four
distinct variants in Canada in both rear-wheel drive and xDrive
all-wheel drive formats, with up to 512 km of range and up to 536 horsepower.

BMW is proud to continue leading the charge in electric mobility and
are honoured to receive this recognition from AJAC. The i4 exemplifies
BMW’s commitment to delivering premium electric vehicles that meet the
evolving needs of Canadians while contributing to a sustainable future.
