Stellantis North America recently celebrated the opening of a new Mopar Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in Brampton, Canada, which involved an investment of approximately CAD $25.1 million (US$18.2 million). This facility is set to enhance the company’s distribution capabilities in Ontario, Quebec, and Eastern Canada. More than 170 Canadian workers will staff the 513,000-square-foot center, housing around 55,000 parts and capable of handling up to an estimated 2 million orders annually.
Senior Vice President and Head of Mopar North America, Mike Koval Jr., emphasized the integration of the latest technology and innovation to assist the facility’s Unifor-represented employees. Noteworthy is the introduction of the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system, marking this facility as the first of its kind in Stellantis’ North American operations. It joins a network of 21 facilities across North America aimed at supporting Stellantis dealerships and their customers in the replacement and custom parts sectors.
